How to Remote Access via RDP

Remote Access via RDP allows you to manage your VPS or server from anywhere. This guide explains 7 easy steps to set up a secure RDP connection and access your server desktop remotely on Windows, macOS, Linux, or mobile devices.

1. Open Remote Desktop Connection
    • On Windows, press Win + R, type mstsc, and press Enter.

    • On macOS or Linux, open the Microsoft Remote Desktop app.

    • On mobile (Android/iOS), install Microsoft Remote Desktop from the app store.

2. Enter the VPS IP Address
    • Type your server IP

    • If your VPS uses a custom RDP port, enter as IP:Port

3. Click Connect
    • This will start the RDP session.

4. Enter Login Credentials
    • Username: Usually Administrator

    • Password: The password provided by your VPS provider

5. Confirm Security Warning (if shown)
    • You may see a message about the server identity not being verified.

    • Click Yes / Continue — this is normal on first connection.

6. Access Your VPS
    • After successful login, the Windows desktop of your VPS will appear.

    • You can now use your VPS as if you were sitting in front of it.

7. Close RDP Session
    • To disconnect, simply close the window or click Start → Disconnect.
