Office 365 How to setup guideline?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Steps 1: Gather information needed for the MX pointing<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Login into Office 365<\/a> with the valid account<\/p>\n

2. Click on Admin<\/p>\n

3. Under\u00a0Management, click on Domains<\/p>\n

4. Proceed as instructed to add in the domain<\/p>\n

5. Click on Pending Verification next to the domain<\/p>\n

6. From the Verify domain page, records the address (Example 123xyz)\u00a0information\u00a0to proceed further.<\/p>\n

Step 2: Create a new TXT or MX records for verification:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

TXT<\/p>\n

Record Type for TXT: @ or Empty<\/p>\n

TXT Value: MS=123xyz(May get once you have the records from office 365)<\/p>\n

TTL: 3600<\/p>\n

MX<\/p>\n

=====<\/p>\n

Hostname: @ or domain name<\/p>\n

Value: 123xyz<\/p>\n

Priority: Lower the value higher the priority (Example: 0)<\/p>\n

TTL: 3600<\/p>\n

Step 3: Verify Domain<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Login into Office 365 with the valid account<\/p>\n

2. Click on Admin<\/p>\n

3. Under Management, click on Domains<\/p>\n

4. Proceed as instructed to add in the domain<\/p>\n

5. Click on Pending Verification next to the domain<\/p>\n

6. From the Verify domain page, click on verify<\/p>\n

7. If verification\u00a0successful, a dialog will appear to inform\u00a0your\u00a0that your domain has been added into your account<\/p>\n

8. If verification failed, it means that your domain may need more time to propagate.<\/p>\n

8.\u00a0Click\u00a0on Finish , and the domain shall be listed as Active<\/p>\n

Steps 4: Add the MX records<\/strong><\/p>\n

Records type: MX<\/p>\n

Priority: 0<\/p>\n

Hostname: @<\/p>\n

Destination Address: 123xyz<\/p>\n

TTL: 3600<\/p>\n

Steps 5: Add 4 CNAME records\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Note:\u00a0Advisable\u00a0to use 3600 seconds instead of 1 hours<\/p>\n

Steps 6: Add in SPF records to prevent email spam\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Steps 7: Add SRV records<\/p>\n
