It is usually generated on the server where the certificate will be installed and contains information that will be included in the certificate such as the organization name, common name (domain name), locality, and country.<\/h5>\n<p>Below is the step to generate the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.techtarget.com\/searchcio\/definition\/corporate-social-responsibility-CSR\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">CSR<\/a> from IIS7\/8 which on Window server 2008\/2012.<\/p>\n<p>1) From the Start screen, click or search for\u00a0<strong>Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager<\/strong>\u00a0and open it.<\/p>\n<p>2) In the\u00a0<strong>Connections<\/strong> panel on the left, then click the server name for which you want to generate the CSR.<\/p>\n<p>3) In the middle panel, double-click\u00a0<strong>Server Certificates<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>4) In the\u00a0<strong>Actions<\/strong>\u00a0panel on the right, click\u00a0<strong>Create Certificate Request\u2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>5) Enter the following\u00a0<strong>Distinguished Name Properties<\/strong>, and then click\u00a0<strong>Next<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Common Name<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 The name through which the certificate will be accessed (usually the fully-qualified domain name, e.g.,\u00a0www.mondoze.com or mondoze.com).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Organization<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 However ,The legally registered name of your organization\/company.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Organizational unit<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 The name of your department within the organization (frequently this entry will be listed as \u201cIT,\u201d \u201cWeb Security,\u201d or is simply left blank).<\/p>\n<p><strong>City\/locality<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 In other words ,The city in which your organization is located.<\/p>\n<p><strong>State\/province<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 The state in which your organization is located.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Country\/region\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 Country Code<\/p>\n<p>6) In the \u201cCryptographic Service Provider Properties\u201d window, select\u00a0<strong>Microsoft RSA SChannel Cryptographic Provider<\/strong>.
