This guide is for users who want to clone MySQL database through phpMyAdmin<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Besides using the command line or dashboard to export, import way to clone MySQL<\/a> database, user have the option to use phpMyadmin function to clone their database.<\/p>\n

After accessing phpMyAdmin via cPanel \/ Helm \/ WebSitePanel,<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Select the database user want to\u00a0 clone (by clicking on database from the phpMyAdmin home screen).<\/li>\n
  2. Once inside the database, select the\u00a0Operations<\/strong>\u00a0tab.<\/li>\n
  3. Scroll down to the section where it says \u201cCopy database to:<\/strong>\u201c<\/li>\n
  4. Type in the name of the new database.<\/li>\n
  5. Select \u201cstructure and data<\/strong>\u201d to copy everything. Alternately, user can select \u201cStructure only\u201d if user want the columns but not the data.<\/li>\n
  6. Check the box \u201cCREATE DATABASE before copying<\/strong>\u201d to create a new database.<\/li>\n
  7. Check the box \u201cAdd AUTO_INCREMENT value<\/strong>.\u201d<\/li>\n
  8. Click on the\u00a0Go<\/strong> button to proceed .(clone the MySQL database)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    If click on the home icon, user will notice the new database listed in the left column. By going inside, user will find the database is a clone of the previous database.<\/p>\n
