{"id":1878,"date":"2020-06-08T10:59:39","date_gmt":"2020-06-08T02:59:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.wesbytes.com\/guide\/?post_type=kb&#038;p=1878"},"modified":"2026-01-02T15:07:30","modified_gmt":"2026-01-02T07:07:30","slug":"machine-is-offline-in-backup-management-console","status":"publish","type":"kb","link":"https:\/\/www.servergigabit.com\/guide\/kb\/machine-is-offline-in-backup-management-console","title":{"rendered":"Machine Is Offline in Backup Management Console"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><strong>Machine Is Offline in Backup Management Console<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Symptoms:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The machine is offline in the Backup management console following successful deployment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Possible causes<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Managed Machine Service is not running.<\/li>\n<li>A connectivity issue between the backup agent and cloud servers.<\/li>\n<li>Registry keys \u201cMMSCurrentMachineID\u201d and \u201cInstanceID\u201d do not match with IDs on the management server in Acronis cloud.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"mkb-anchor mkb-clearfix mkb-back-to-top-inline\">\n<h2 class=\"mkb-anchor__title\"><strong>Solution 1<\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<p>Windows: Navigate to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.servergigabit.com\/windows-vps\/\">Windows resources<\/a> and test if the Managed Machine System is in operation:\u00a0<strong>Start<\/strong>\u00a0-&gt;\u00a0<strong>Search<\/strong>\u00a0-&gt;<strong>services.msc<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Look up the computer service operated by acronis, restart it.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Linux: open Terminal and execute under a superuser\/root\u00a0<strong><em>\/etc\/init.d\/acronis_mms status<\/em><\/strong><strong>, restart the service<\/strong><strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>#\/etc\/init.d\/acronis_mms restart<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"mkb-anchor mkb-clearfix mkb-back-to-top-inline\">\n<h2 class=\"mkb-anchor__title\"><strong>Solution 2<\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<p>Windows: use the <a href=\"https:\/\/care.acronis.com\/s\/article\/47678-Acronis-Cyber-Protect-Cloud-Acronis-Cyber-Protect-15-and-Acronis-Cyber-Backup-12-5-Connection-Verification-Tool?language=en_US\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Connection Verification Tool<\/a> to check network connectivity.<\/p>\n<p>Linux: open Terminal and check whether required firewall ports (80, 443, 8443,7770-7800 and 44445) are opened with the\u00a0<strong><em>netcat<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0command.<\/p>\n<div class=\"mkb-anchor mkb-clearfix mkb-back-to-top-inline\">\n<h2 class=\"mkb-anchor__title\"><strong>Solution 3<\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<p>1. Open the backup management console, select the machine by clicking on it and check browser\u2019s address bar.<\/p>\n<p>2. Note InstanceID and MMSCurrentMachineID. GUID between \u201cphm.\u201d and \u201c%40\u201d is InstanceID, after \u201c%40\u201d is MMSCurrentMachineID:<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/cdnweb.devolutions.net\/docs\/RDMW6116_2024_3.png\" alt=\"Machine Is Offline in Backup Management Console\" width=\"298\" height=\"211\" \/><\/p>\n<p>3.
