Configure an email on\u00a0Outlook Express<\/h4>\n

This tutorial assumes that you\u2019ve already created your new email account in your web hosting<\/a>, typically through your hosting control panel. Now let\u2019s learn how to setup that new email account in Outlook<\/a> Express.<\/em><\/p>\n

  1. Start by clicking the\u00a0Tools<\/strong>\u00a0>\u00a0Accounts<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    2. Click the\u00a0Mail\u00a0<\/strong>tab. Click\u00a0Add\u00a0<\/strong>and select\u00a0Mail<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    3. Enter you full name in the\u00a0Display Name<\/strong>\u00a0field. Then, click\u00a0Next<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    <\/p>\n

    4. Enter your email address in the\u00a0E-mail address<\/strong>\u00a0field.<\/p>\n

    \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    5. On the E-mail Server Names page, complete your information as follows:<\/p>\n

    My incoming mail server is aPOP3<\/strong>\u00a0or\u00a0IMAP<\/strong>.(this depends on your own preference)<\/em><\/p>\n

    FOR SSL<\/u>
    \nIncoming mail (POP3, IMAP) server : serverhostname.comOutgoing mail (SMTP) server : serverhostname.com<\/p>\n

    \u00a0(serverhostname refers to the name of the server that is hosting your email.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

    \u00a0 server hostname can be found from your web hosting control panel server information section<\/em>\u00a0)<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

    FOR NON-SSL<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

    Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP) server : mail.domain.comOutgoing mail (SMTP) server : mail.domain.com<\/p>\n

    (replace your\u00a0<\/i>OWN\u00a0<\/i><\/b>domain name for domain)<\/i><\/p>\n

    Then, click\u00a0Next<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    6.\u00a0In the\u00a0Account Name<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Password<\/strong>\u00a0fields, enter your email address and password, and then click\u00a0Next<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    7.\u00a0On the setup confirmation page, click\u00a0Finish<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    8.\u00a0On the\u00a0Mail<\/strong>\u00a0tab, select the account you just created, and then click\u00a0Properties<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    9.\u00a0Go to the\u00a0Servers<\/strong>\u00a0tab.<\/p>\n

    10. \u00a0Select\u00a0My server requires authentication<\/strong>, and then click\u00a0Apply<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    11.\u00a0Go to the\u00a0Advanced<\/strong>\u00a0tab.<\/p>\n

    12.\u00a0In the Server Port Numbers section,<\/p>\n

    \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Incoming IMAP : 993<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Outgoing for POP and IMAP : 465<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0FOR NON-SSL<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

    \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Incoming POP : 110<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0Incoming IMAP : 143<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Outgoing for POP and IMAP<\/strong>\u00a0:<\/strong>\u00a0587<\/strong><\/p>\n

    13. Click OK.<\/p>\n

    That\u2019s it! We\u2019ve successfully setup an email account and can now start\u00a0sending<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0receiving<\/strong>\u00a0email to and from that account from\u00a0Outlook Express<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    Click the\u00a0Close<\/strong>\u00a0button to exit setup.<\/p>\n
