Configure an email on Outlook 2003<\/h3>\n

  1. Start by clicking the\u00a0Tools<\/strong>\u00a0>\u00a0Email Accounts<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    2. The Email Accounts<\/strong>\u00a0window appears.<\/p>\n

    3. Select Add a new email account<\/strong>\u00a0then click\u00a0Next<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    4. Choose POP3<\/strong>\u00a0then click\u00a0Next<\/strong><\/p>\n

    <\/p>\n

    5. Enter the Name<\/strong>\u00a0as you would like to appear in the\u00a0From<\/strong>\u00a0field of outgoing emails.<\/p>\n

    6. Then enter your new email address<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    7. Now enter the\u00a0email username<\/strong>\u00a0as provided to you by your hosting provider. This may be the entire email address or just the username prefix.<\/p>\n

    8. Then enter your email password<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    9. Now enter your Incoming<\/strong>\u00a0(POP3) and\u00a0Outgoing<\/strong>\u00a0(SMTP<\/a>) server settings in the text boxes under Server Information<\/p>\n

    10. Click the More Settings\u00a0<\/strong>button. Then click the\u00a0Outgoing Server<\/strong>\u00a0tab.<\/p>\n

    11. Tick the SMTP Authentication<\/strong>\u00a0checkbox. This means that Outlook will login to your mail server even when sending emails (not just receiving), ensuring that you are the only one that can send emails from your account.<\/p>\n

    12. Most SMTP servers use the same<\/strong>\u00a0username<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0password<\/strong>\u00a0as the incoming (POP3) servers, so just leave it selected. Then click\u00a0OK<\/strong>.

    13. Click Finish to complete the setup wizard.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    14. That\u2019s it! We\u2019ve successfully setup an email account, and can now start sending<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0receiving<\/strong>\u00a0email to and from that account from\u00a0Outlook 2003<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    15. Remember that you also have to create<\/strong>\u00a0that email address in your hosting account before it will work.<\/p>\n
