Here the steps:<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"mkb-anchor__title\">Step 1 \u2013 Disable DNSSEC<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<p>Cloudflare cannot provide authoritative DNS resolution for a domain when\u00a0<strong>DNSSEC<\/strong>\u00a0is enable at your domain registrar. You can re-enable\u00a0<strong>DNSSEC<\/strong>\u00a0after the domain is\u00a0<em>Active<\/em>\u00a0on Cloudflare, but must configure\u00a0<strong>DNSSEC<\/strong>\u00a0using <a href=\"https:\/\/developers.cloudflare.com\/dns\/dnssec\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Cloudflare\u2019s DNSSEC<\/a> requirements.<\/p>\n<p><strong>DNSSEC<\/strong>\u00a0must only be disable for domains on Full setups where Cloudflare\u2019s nameservers will be authoritative.<\/p>\n<p>Possible symptoms of\u00a0<strong>DNSSEC<\/strong>\u00a0being enable at the registrar include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>DNS does not resolve after switching to Cloudflare\u2019s nameservers.<\/li>\n<li>DNS query response status is\u00a0<em>SERVFAIL<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>The domain remains in a\u00a0<em>Pending<\/em>\u00a0status in the Cloudflare Overview app.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Contact your domain provider if you need assistance to disable\u00a0<strong>DNSSEC<\/strong>. Please ensure you are providing the root domain and not any subdomains (e.g., example.com, not subdomain.example.com) (Code: 1099)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Instructions for updating the Public Suffix List exist at\u00a0https:\/\/github.com\/publicsuffix\/list\/wiki\/Guidelines.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Domain is not yet fully register or registration data does not list nameservers<\/li>\n<li>Contact\u00a0your domain registrar to update the nameservers in the registration<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Below are some possible errors in the Cloudflare dashboard when adding an improperly registered domain via\u00a0<strong>+ Add site<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>exampledomain.com is not a registered domain (Code: 1049)<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Failed to lookup registrar and hosting information of exampledomain.com at this time. Please contact Cloudflare Support or try again later. (Code: 1110)<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<div class=\"mkb-anchor mkb-clearfix mkb-back-to-top-inline\">\n<h2 class=\"mkb-anchor__title\">Step 3 \u2013 Resolve DNS for root domain<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<p>Before a domain can be add to Cloudflare, the domain must return\u00a0<em>NS records<\/em>\u00a0for valid, working nameservers.\u00a0<em>NS records<\/em>\u00a0can be check via third-party online tools such as https:\/\/www.whatsmydns.net\/#NS\/\u00a0\u00a0or via a command-line terminal using a dig command:<\/p>\n<pre>dig +short ns cloudflare.com\r\n\r\nns3.cloudflare.com. ns4.cloudflare.com. ns5.cloudflare.com. ns6.cloudflare.com. ns7.cloudflare.com.<\/pre>\n<p>Additionally, the domain must return a valid\u00a0<em>SOA record<\/em>\u00a0when query.\u00a0<em>SOA records<\/em>\u00a0can be check via third-party online tools such as https:\/\/www.whatsmydns.net\/#SOA\/ or via a command-line terminal:<\/p>\n<pre>dig +short soa cloudflare.com\r\n\r\nns3.cloudflare.com. dns.cloudflare.com. 2029202248 10000 2400 604800 300<\/pre>\n<hr \/>\n<div class=\"mkb-anchor mkb-clearfix mkb-back-to-top-inline\">\n<h2 class=\"mkb-anchor__title\">Step 4 \u2013 Verify if the domain is ban at Cloudflare<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<p>Cloudflare disallows the addition of certain domains on either a permanent or a temporary basis. \u00a0See the instructions below for removing either type of ban.<\/p>\n<div class=\"mkb-anchor mkb-clearfix mkb-back-to-top-inline\">\n<h3 class=\"mkb-anchor__title\">Removing a temporary ban<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<p>When Cloudflare observes too many attempts to add a domain to Cloudflare, an error is return:<\/p>\n<p><em>Error with Cloudflare request: [1105] This zone is temporarily banned and cannot be added to Cloudflare at this time, please contact Cloudflare Support.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Before contacting Cloudflare support, wait 3 hours before attempting to re-add the domain to Cloudflare.<\/p>\n<p>Cloudflare support cannot expedite expiration of the temporary ban.<\/p>\n<div class=\"mkb-anchor mkb-clearfix mkb-back-to-top-inline\">\n<h3 class=\"mkb-anchor__title\">Clearing a permanent\u00a0ban<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<p>File a request with Cloudflare Support if any of the following errors are observe when adding a domain:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Error: This zone is ban and cannot be add to CloudFlare at this time, please contact CloudFlare Support. (Code: 1097)<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>This zone cannot be add to Cloudflare at this time, please contact Cloudflare Support.
