Traceroute is a network diagnostic tool that displays the route taken by packets across a network and measures any transit delays. Most operating systems support the\u00a0traceroute<\/code>\u00a0command.<\/p>\n

If you are experiencing connectivity issues with your Cloudflare-proxied website and plan to ask for assistance, Cloudflare Support frequently asks customers for the output of a traceroute.<\/p>\n

If you activated your website through a hosting partner, you should traceroute to\u00a0www.example.com<\/a><\/em>\u00a0(or another subdomain that is being proxied through Cloudflare).<\/p>\n
